Terms of Service
These Terms govern use of the SnowballHQ private beta. By creating or using a SnowballHQ account, you agree to these Terms.
What SnowballHQ provides
SnowballHQ provides software tools for debt snowball planning, payday-based budgeting, transaction and bill tracking, savings goals, historical views, and payoff projections.
Not financial, legal, tax, or credit advice
SnowballHQ provides planning tools and estimates, not individualized financial, legal, tax, accounting, investment, or credit advice. You are responsible for deciding how to use the information shown by the service and for verifying important figures with lenders, statements, or qualified professionals when appropriate.
Projection accuracy
Debt-free dates, interest estimates, time-saved estimates, What-If results, and similar outputs depend on the balances, APRs, minimum payments, extra payments, timing assumptions, and other information entered into the service. Actual lender calculations, compounding methods, fees, payment timing, changing rates, missed payments, or other factors may produce different results.
Your account
You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your password, and keeping control of devices or browsers signed into SnowballHQ. You may not attempt to access another user's data, bypass security controls, interfere with the service, or use the service for unlawful activity.
Private beta access
Beta registration currently requires an invite code. Access may be limited, paused, or ended while SnowballHQ is being tested. An invite code is for access to the beta and does not guarantee permanent or future paid-service availability.
Your data
You retain responsibility for the financial information you enter. SnowballHQ uses that information to provide the service as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not enter information you are not authorized to use.
Backups and availability
SnowballHQ takes reasonable steps to preserve account data and currently maintains limited backups, but the beta is not a guaranteed archival or record-retention service. Keep lender statements, tax records, and other important financial documents in their appropriate original systems.
Service changes
SnowballHQ may add, remove, modify, or discontinue beta features and may change technical architecture, limits, or access requirements. Reasonable effort will be made to avoid destructive changes to user data, but beta participation necessarily involves product changes.
Acceptable use
You may use SnowballHQ for lawful personal or household financial planning. You may not probe for vulnerabilities, overload the service, automate abusive requests, attempt to obtain another user's account information, introduce malicious code, or use the service in a way that interferes with other users.
Suspension or termination
Access may be suspended or terminated for security reasons, abuse, unlawful use, attempts to compromise other accounts, or material violation of these Terms. During the beta, a participant may also request account removal through the beta support channel.
Disclaimer of warranties
SnowballHQ is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis during the private beta. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or suitability for a particular financial result.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, SnowballHQ and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of beta projections, unavailable service, user-entered errors, or decisions made based on the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated as SnowballHQ moves toward public or paid availability. Continued use after an updated effective date means the updated Terms apply to subsequent use.
Questions
Questions about these Terms during the private beta can be raised through the beta support channel used to provide access.
